Contimix opens new markets for Ammann
Ammann is pushing ahead with the proprietary development of its continuous asphalt mixing process. The first plants are now in operation, while the world’s markets hold massive potential.
Ammann continuous mixing plants differ from batch plants only in a few components. The main difference is that dried, hot aggregate lands directly in the mixer, where it is homogenously mixed with bitumen. There is no screening or temporary storage in the mixing tower. Instead, the mixing process runs continuously. The number of possible recipe changes and small production runs that a continuous mixing plant can handle are limited.
The technology will enable Ammann to capture new markets in Australia, Asia and South America, for instance. Good references form a solid basis for further business transactions.
