Role and Tasks

  • Holistic project coordination of all related activities concerning the definition, development, business plan, marketing, roll-out, change management for on-board Assistance Systems for Liebherr Mining Hydraulic Excavators and Off-Highway Haul Trucks.
  • Excluded is the full autonomy development program for Liebherr Off-Highway Haul Trucks
  • Define the project target and validate it together with factories, MIN- Board and LEC or LME factory board
  • Analyze the requirements for information in all concerned departments in factories and affiliates
  • Define with MIN Controlling the controlling mechanisms for the activity and implement them
  • Drives the editing of specifications for presently developed and yet to be developed Assistance Systems with Product Management, R&D and Engineering of LME and LEC and provide the documents to all concerned stakeholders
  • Coordinate the evolution of the Assistance Systems specifications with Product Management, R&D and Engineering of LME and LEC
  • Central contact person for all enquiries from different stakeholders
  • Development and implementation of the required organizational structures and processes to achieve these targets
  • Establishes and consolidates MIN Assistance Systems Development Plans for all MIN products bi annually
  • Definition and follow up of the relevant KPI`s for this activity
  • Definition of the change management processes relative to the Assistance Systems topics
  • Plan and execute product implementation into the markets
  • Coordinate establishment of Technical Product Descriptions and Add- Value propositions, brochures and marketing documentation with Product Management, Customer Service and Sales from each factory
  • Coordinates with the Customer Services/ Training department the establishment of operator training courses and material
  • Defines with affiliates the requirements for the continuous product support
  • Liaise with Liebherr Digital Services and Solutions teams for the coordination of the interfaces
  • Identify synergy potentials between the factories
  • Cooperates with other Liebherr divisions to promote exchange of best practices
  • Consolidates MIN Assistance Systems Development roadmaps for all MIN products
  • Organizes and executes regular reporting to organization, factory- and MIN-boards

Responsibilities :

  • Achievement of project targets
  • Establishing positive cash flow from 2021 on
  • Responsible for the definition of the business models for the different Assistance Systems in coordination with the relevant departments
  • Defining together with Sales, Product Management & Engineering priorities of which products to bring to market.
  • Defining strategies to bring products to market, through either in-house development or use of third party development.
  • Responsible for a holistic project documentation including biannual update of Assistance Systems Development Plan
  • Responsibility for the project budget in coordination with R&D and Engineering Departments
  • Responsible for continuous cost and project evolution status
  • Responsible for requesting the required resources, decision making and organizational framework
  • Responsible for transparent, continuous information flow and reporting concerning the project to LEC/LME Board and MIN Board
  • Responsible to support the companies in setting up a proper maintenance structure for offerings.

Role Profile :

  • Project Management experienced senior profile
  • Master in Mechanical, Electronic or Electrical Engineering
  • Master of Business Administration is a huge plus

Required competencies :

  • Excellent transversal project management skills
  • Understanding of technological topics, related to digital products a plus
  • Understanding of mining customer requirements is a strong plus
  • Dynamic personality with excellent communication skills, capable of coordination of factory cross-functional teams
  • Analytic and methodologic working style
  • Self-managed, autonomous working approach and strong team player
  • Language: Good command of English and German is necessary, and good command of French a huge plus
  • Travel rate will be around 35%

  • Work experience provides a foundation for further future project/program management roles of transversal projects within Liebherr Mining Division business or for managerial jobs in an international environment.
