With the start of the production of centrifugal clutches and brakes in 1946, SUCO was able to establish a reputation as a proven specialist and competent partner for customized brake solutions in plant engineering and within safety-relevant applications in the early 1950s.
Parallel to this, the pressure monitoring product range was continuously developed from the 1960s onwards. In addition to mechanical pressure switches, pressure and vacuum switches, explosion-proof ATEX switches and numerous variants with integrated plugs were introduced in the following years.
At the end of the 1990s, SUCO began developing electronic pressure monitoring components. With the acquisition of the subsidiary ESI Technology Ltd. in Wales in 2009, SUCO gained extensive expertise in pressure sensor technology. An interesting new development is the PLUS mechanical pressure switch with numerous additional electronic functions that form a bridge between purely mechanical and electronic pressure switches.
As one of the few companies worldwide, SUCO can thus offer the entire spectrum of pressure monitoring, from simple mechanical pressure and vacuum switches to the highest quality sensor technology in deep-sea applications. The well-founded know-how also includes applications in the high-temperature range, in explosion-protected areas, maximum pressures up to 5,000 bar, the handling of special materials as well as the fulfilment of customer-specific special solutions.
Already at the end of the 1960s the continuous development of the European markets by numerous mostly exclusive sales partners at home and abroad began. Own sales companies were founded in 1999 in France (SUCO VSE France) and in 2007 in the USA (SUCO Technologies Inc.). With the acquisition of the English subsidiary ESI, SUCO completed its worldwide market presence and is now present in every important market in the world.
On the occasion of the company's 80th anniversary, SUCO presents a new image film on YouTube, which focuses on the core values of the SUCO brand.
