Zeppelin Baumaschinen GmbH

Home from Home was founded 11 years ago by Jane Payne and Pippa Shaper, who worked in children’s homes and developed a new model for orphans and abused children. The non-profit organization seeks to provide children with prospects for the future and a stable, sheltered environment in which they can grow up.

Home from Home supports and mentors foster families who take in children in need. They have established a network of small houses modeled on the SOS Children’s Villages. Up to six children can live in each house, and a house mother cares for them round the clock, just like a biological mother would.

Thomas Weber, Zeppelin’s managing director who is also responsible for service, has been involved with Home from Home on a voluntary basis for many years. Zeppelin already supported Home from Home after the 2013 bauma trade fair with a large monetary donation from its trade fair proceeds.
